The “Enders Triazole” Revisited: Highly Efficient, Blue Platinum(II) Emitters

Abstract

Complexes combining the “Enders triazole” as a bidentate C^C* NHC ligand and arylated β-diketonates around a platinum(II) center afford emitters with quantum yields of more than 80%. The phosphorescent emission is centered in the sky blue region of the visible spectrum. The presented transition-metal compounds are characterized by their photophysical properties, as well as 2D NMR experiments and solid-state structures.
