Abstract

(JAMA. 2022;328:325–326) In the case Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization in 2022, the US Supreme Court ended the right to abortion established in 1973 with Roe v Wade. The court majority argued that abortion is not referenced in the constitution, is not “implicit in the concept of ordered liberty,” and that the issue should be resolved in each state by voters.
