Abstract

This paper, based on the survey data of 290 farmers in Fujian Province, using binary Logistic regression model, analyzes effective factors of farmers’ participating in forestry cooperatives. Research results show that the volatility of forestry product price, the head of household’s level of education, the age of the head of household, the support policy of government and forestry acreage have significant effect on farmers’ participating in forestry cooperatives; the sex of the head of household, the degree of family labor force, the multiple occupations, planting history and hardness or ease of sales of forestry product have no significant effect on farmers’ participating in forestry cooperatives.
