Abstract
Most erudite scholars classify the movements of feminism into three broad waves of categories. The first wave of feminism embarked in the 19th and 18th centuries. The second wave in terms of time coverage started in the 1960s–1980s. The third wave developed through the backlash of the second wave. These feminists try to show the diverse range of exploitation and oppression through the attributes of age, race, and class. This paper tries to pose the root of Marxian and socialist feminism and their implications in current societies. The Socialists and Marxist feminism were being labeled as the left-wing advocates in the late 1960's. This paper argues for Marxians' and socialist feminism's articulated historical roots and emancipatory agendas.
