Abstract
As entrusted by the State Council, Mr. Zhu Kaixuan, chairman of the State Education Commission, spoke at the Eleventh Session of the Standing Committee of the Eighth National People's Congress, which was convened today [in Beijing], providing explanatory remarks on the "Law of Education of the People's Republic of China (Draft)," and he submitted the law and its articles to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for its examination and discussion.
