Abstract
The SU(2)-Higgs model with one doublet is studied at intermediate Higgs mass for a semi-realistic gauge coupling β = 8. The Higgs transition is investigated on asymmetric thermal ( N σ 3 × 2) lattices. A two-state signal is identified, indicating a first order transition. This transition appears to be more strongly first order than predicted by resummed perturbation theory.
