Abstract

The proteins in the haemolymph isolated from blowfly larvae of different ages were separated by electrophoresis on acrylamide gel. Their pattern was compared with that of proteins released in vitro by blowfly fat body and found to be almost identical. Fat body was also incubated in the presence of [U- 14C] valine, and the distribution of 14C-activity among the labelled proteins was measured.
