Abstract

The molecule FBO, as yet unknown experimentally, has been investigated by ab-initio SCF calculations using both gaussian and Slater-type basis sets. The computed bond lengths computed with a near Hartree—Fock basis set were R(FB) = 1.256 Å, R(BO) = 1.190 Å. The molecule is predicted to be highly electron deficient on boron.
