Abstract
The effect of site-diagonal and site-off-diagonal electron-lattice coupling on polaronic binding energy in quasi-one-dimensional halogen-bridged mixed-valence platinum complexes (HMPC's) is investigated. It shows that the site-diagonal part is determinative in this kind of material, and agreeable with experiments.
