Abstract

Very thin films (down to 40 nm) of vinylidenefluoride-trifluoroethylene (VDF-TrFE) copolymers were prepared by the spin-coating technique. A strong growth of the DC conductivity for increasing electric fields and decreasing film thicknesses is found. The temperature dependence of the conductivity follows an Arrhenius law with a clear change of the activation energy at 335 K for heating as well as cooling independent of the polarization. >
