Abstract
The correlation of the nuclear quadrupole coupling with the tetragonal compression Τ= 2-c/a in the chalcopyrite compounds CdSiP2, CdGeP2, CdGeAs2,ZnSiP2, CdSnP2 and CdSnAs2 is studied by 111Cd-TDPAC. The measured linear dependence is discussed with both an ionic and a covalent contribution to the EFG.
