Abstract
Acetals and tetrahydropyranyl derivatives of phenols are efficiently and highly chemoselectively deprotected in the presence of catalytic amounts of [Ru(CH 3CN) 3(triphos)]-(OTf) 2 (triphos = CH 3C(CH 2PPh 2) 3), under mild condition, in good to excellent yields.
