Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of safflower injection combined with low molecular weight heparin for unstable angina. Methods 58 patients with unstable angina who had visited our hospital during the period of March 2008 to August 2011 were randomly divided into a control group and a study group. The control group ( 29 patients ) received conventional treatment while the study group received combination therapy with safflower injections and low molecular weight heparin in addition to the conventional treatment. The efficacy.and changes in blood flow were compared between the two groups after treatment. Results The overall effectiveness rate was higher in the study group than in the control group ( 89.7% vs.62.1%) the study group was superior to the control in the improvement in blood flow ( P < 0.05 ).Conclusions Safflower injection combined with low molecular weight heparin has a marked clinical efficacy in the treatment of unstable angina and has a significant effect on hemorheology in patients. It is worth popularizing clinically. Key words: Safflower injection; Low molecular weight heparin; Unstable angina pectoris
