Abstract

(1) This note has relieved the basic assumption of constant interblade phase angle, and developed a new method for steam turbine flutter prediction. The unsteady interaction of interblade phase angle has a very large effect on the aeroelastic stability of the steam turbine blade. (2) An aeroelastic model has been developed to analyze aeroelastic stability of grouped blades of a steam turbine. The results indicate that the aeroelastic stability of the blades located at the middle of a blade group is better than that of the blades located at its edge.
