Abstract

The purposes of this study were to investigate the effects of the STEAM program on pre-service teachers’ science self-efficacy and STEAM literacy, and to discussion of necessity STEAM Education. In this study, 17 pre-service teachers majoring in science education at university participated, and the STEAM education program with the theme of ‘Dynamic RC Airplane’ consisted of 6class time was applied at the crash course. The results of this study were as follows: 1) STEAM program had partially a positive effect on pre-service teachers’ science self-efficacy, and 2) this program had also meaningful influence on their STEAM literacy. In conclusion, this study was suggested that to increase quality of STEAM education at the work of classrooms, STEAM education STEAM education is contained within pre-service teacher education.
