Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of training method and amount of training and feedback on the accuracy of performance rating and behavioral observation. Results indicated that frame-of-reference training produced the most accurate performance rating, cognitive modeling training was the most effective training strategy m reducing the raters 1 -hit rates, and practice-and-feedback failed to improve either observation or rating accuracy. Interpretation and suggestions for future research are discussed.
