Abstract
Nanocrystalline soft magnetic materials take advantages of high permeability and low iron loss, which are of great significance for the efficiency promotion of existing electric machines, such as transformers, wiring inductances and motors, especially where high efficiency is essential. However, the material itself is thin, brittle, and hard, so high requirements is proposed for processing technologies, which limits application of nanocrystalline materials especially for those with complex structures. In order to investigate the effects of different processing technologies on the magnetic properties, a series of experiments with different processing technologies are carried out in this paper. Based on the iron loss model, the effects of processing technologies are analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively, and some conclusions which have important reference values for further engineering applications are drawn in this paper. Finally, finite element simulation analysis for motors with different materials is carried out in this paper, and reveals some advantages and problems of this material in motor application.
