Abstract

SummaryTwelve fungicides were applied to apple cv Cox’s Orange Pippin at several stages prior to flowering. Most had no effect on subsequent flower opening or fruit set, but, in experiments over several years, sprays of sulphur at pink bud or green cluster stages sometimes increased and dodine sometimes decreased the ability of the flowers to produce fruit.
