Abstract
Preliminary experiments with rough mitochondrial or synaptosomal rat brain preparations indicate that a statistically significant increase of from 50–70% in c-GMP production was obtained in the presence of melanocyte stimulating hormone release inhibiting factor (MIF-I) at concentrations of 10 −5 and 10 −6 M. Ca ++ addition to the system was not necessary.
