Abstract

The food service industry has been growing consonantly so far and, as a consequence, such development of the industry is demanding individual employees of the industry for the ability to make work-related decisions for themselves based on their expert skills and knowledge. Most importantly, the industry is emphasizing the significance of voluntary career improvement of the individual employees. Specifically, in terms of what the employees of the food service industry do, since the employees keep dealing with customers and since their work environments continuously change, and career improvement to actively cope with such changes in the environment has been a main assignment not only to the individual employees but also food service corporations.
