Abstract

This paper looks at how an increase in transportation costs affects the traditional fresh fruit and agricultural production areas. The analysis uses a spatial equilibrium model. The results from the analysis give some indication of the magnitude of the effects that expected transportation cost increases will have on the spatial distribution of selected fresh produce items
