The effects of director's curriculum support on respecting children's rights practices mediated by teacher efficacy

Abstract

연구목적: 본 연구는 원장의 보육과정 지원행동이 교사효능감을 매개로 보육교사의 영유아권리존중 보육실행에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 방법: 수도권 어린이집에 재직 중인 보육교사 416명에게 수집된 자료를 SPSS 25.0을 이용하여 기술통계, 신뢰도 계수, Person상관분석(편상관)을 실시하고 AMOS 21.0을 이용하여 연구 모형의 검증과 구조모형의 적합도를 평가하였다. 독립변인인 원장의 보육과정지원행동이 교사효능감을 매개로 종속변인인 영유아권리존중 보육실행에 미치는 직접효과, 간접효과 및 총 효과를 분석하였으며, 부트스트래핑(Boot-strapping) 방법을 사용하여유의성을 검증하였다. 결과: 원장의 보육과정 지원행동은 교사효능감과 영유아권리존중 보육실행에, 교사효능감은 보육교사의 영유아권리존중 보육실행에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 원장의 보육과정 지원행동이 영유아권리존중 보육실행에 미치는 영향에 대한 교사효능감의 매개효과를 검증한 결과 직접효과와 간접효과가 모두 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 어린이집 원장의 보육과정 지원행동은 교사효능감을 매개로 보육교사의 영유아권리존중 보육실행에 직, 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 교사의 보육과정 운영에 대한 지원 및 모니터링, 교사역량 증진을 위한 교육지원 등 원장의전문적이고 체계적인 보육과정 지원행동이 보육교사의 영유아권리존중 보육실행에 영향을 미치므로, 원장의 보육과정 지원행동을 강화시키기 위한 체계적이고 다양한 지원 정책이 필요함을 시사한다.Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the child care center director s curriculum support on respecting children s rights practices of teachers mediated by teacher efficacy. Methods: The survey was conducted on 416 teachers working at child care centers in the Seoul metropolitan area. Descriptive statistics, reliability tests and correlations were conducted using SPSS 25.0. Verification of the research model, and conformity assessment were performed using AMOS 21.0. The direct, indirect, and total effects of director s curriculum supporting acts on teacher efficacy and respecting children s rights practices were conducted. Verification of significance was performed by boot-strapping. Results: The research results showed that director s curriculum support have a significant impact on teacher efficacy while the teacher s efficacy has a significant impact on respecting children s rights practice. The results of verifying the teacher efficacy s medial effect showed that there were both direct and indirect effects between the two variables. Conclusions: The results suggest that the director s professional and systematic acts for supporting teacher s curriculum management, such as the presentation and monitoring of the teacher s curriculum process, are important for respecting children s rights practices in child care centers.
