Abstract

Coenzyme A was obtained from the Nutritional Biochemicals Corporation. Comparison of the measured and theoretical content of the sulfhydryl group (3) indicated that 44% by weight of this preparation was coenzyme A. The I-bitartrate forms of epinephrine and norepinephrine were obtained from the Winthrop-Stearns Company. Solutions containing 100 pg of a catecho1 amine per ml of 0.01 N HCl were kept in the refrigerator, and aliquots were taken for daily use.
