Abstract

The effects of chromium on the efficiencies of solar cells prepared from silicon grown by the edge-defined film-fed growth (EFG) technique are reported. The conclusions are very similar to previous ones drawn from experiments with iron. Chromium has little effect on the electronic properties of properly upgraded material when in solid solution, but acts strongly through its effects on the crystallization process. >
