Abstract

Abstract A somatic antigen fractionated from lysates of Vibrio cholerae was assessed for its ability to enhance responses to sheep and horse red blood cells (sRBC and hRBC). This material proved to possess adjuvant properties when injected with either of these antigens. In addition, this adjuvant substance was found to stimulate both tritiated thymidine uptake and adenyl cyclase activity in normal mouse spleen cell cultures.
