Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) developing audio visual based drama learning media on Indonesian and Literature Education Study Program Students at Cokroaminoto University of Palopo, and (2) knowing audio visual based drama learning media on students of Indonesian and Literature Education Study Program at Cokroaminoto University of Palopo is valid, practical and effective. This research is a Research and Development. This learning development procedure refers to the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 stages, namely (1) Analyze; (2) Design; (3) Development; (4) Implementation; and (5) Evaluation. The instruments used in this study were (1) The implementation of observation sheet of the media and learning devices, (2) Observation sheet of the activity of lecturers managing learning, (3) Observation sheet of student activities in learning, (4) Questionnaire for student responses, and (5) Tests learning outcomes. The results of this study were declared valid, practical, and effective. The validity of the results of this study was proven through the results of the validation test of teaching material, GBRP, and RPS which were declared valid by the validator. The practicality of the results of this study is proven through the results of field trials, namely the results of observations of the feasibility of the media and learning tools that are in the category of being implemented entirely. The effectiveness of the results of this study is evidenced through field trials that meet four components, namely (a) the results of student activities in drama learning are at the ideal time tolerance limit specified, (b) the results of lecturers' activities in managing learning are in the very high category, (c) the results of student responses to the media and student responses to the implementation of drama learning, are in the positive category, and (d) student learning outcomes are in the graduating category.
