Abstract

Rescarc aim to understand the effectivenes of the model Discovery Learning to learning mathematics and Problem Solving on the fourth grade students primary school in terms of the ability of the solution of the problems. Samples to this research namely sd in a cluster of garuda in kabupaten lack of maintenance. The sample taken use constructive observations and tests and the research it consists of 2 primary school and the number of students 65 students. The research is research experiment design study used research static-group comparison is design static-group comparison .An instrument used to measure the students are ribrik problem solving the problem solving ability .Data analysis techniques test t descriptive uses the technique. The results obtained from a class experiment by the number of students ( n ) as many as 35 students with the rata-rata 77,79; meanwhile the class of control obtained the rata-rata ( n ) 72,91 with as many 30 students. Test resuit obtained t koefesien t count of the sig 0,368 (2 tailed) 0,021. Because the value of &; 0,05, lt and ho rejected and ha0accepted thatmeans that there are significant differences in the implementation of the learning model discovery learning and solving the problem in terms of the problem solving students class IV. primary school on learning mathBased on the research done by discovery learning model showed that learning more effective use of the learning model. solving the problem.
