Abstract
As one of vocational education in Indonesia, Politeknik Mekatronika Sanata Dharma must be able to produce graduates who are competent and skilled in the field of mechatronics. In order to achieve this, practical and workshop learning must be given a large portion. However, some practical tools available are limited, due to constraints in the cost of procuring equipment that is quite expensive. This paper presents an active learning through the practice of developing a simple industrial control simulation program, using Proteus and LabVIEW software. One example of the control simulation presented here is the control on the conveyor as a supplier of items. From the observation and learning evaluation, it was found that by making a simple simulation program, students more easily develop skills in mathematics, logical thinking and problem solving. The effectiveness of learning can be measured from the value of student satisfaction and involvement, which in the example here is quite high. Students were enthusiastic and involved, starting from the design of the conveyor simulation image, making the simulation circuit in Proteus, programming the microcontroller, and making the simulation program at LabVIEW, even to realizing it to the actual conveyor.
Highlights
One of the achievements of learning special skills in the field of Mechatronics referring to level 5 KKNI is being able to apply mathematics, natural science, and engineering principles into technical procedures and practices to solve engineering problems in the field of mechatronics that is clearly defined [1].The ability to apply mathematics, natural science and engineering principles is a competency that needs to be developed by students of the PMSD D-3 Mechatronics Study Program, because it is related to his work as a technician in mechatronics

Summary
One of the achievements of learning special skills in the field of Mechatronics referring to level 5 KKNI is being able to apply mathematics, natural science, and engineering principles into technical procedures and practices (technical practice) to solve engineering problems in the field of mechatronics that is clearly defined (well-defined) [1]. In addition to being able to apply mathematics, natural science and engineering principles, a mechatronics technician must be skilled in solving engineering problems. To overcome difficulties in teaching mathematics and natural science, and to overcome the problem of the high cost of practical equipment, this paper proposes a learning method with an approach through making a simulation program, using popular and easy-to-use software, namely Proteus and LabVIEW [3, 4]. This Items Supplier has 2 light sensors, each of which is placed at both ends of the conveyor To be clearer, here is a flowchart of how the Items Supplier works
