Abstract

The execution of the program of the Twenty-fifth Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) for the further development of agriculture requires a significant increase in capital investment in that vitally important sphere and allied branches. Such an increase is necessitated by the need for the radical technical and organizational restructuring of agriculture, the high capital intensity of the program for converting production to a modern industrial footing, and the need to reduce differences in living standards in town and country. Accumulations are being significantly redistributed in favor of agriculture. Between 1961 and 1970 capital investments in productive construction in agriculture amounted to 110 billion rubles.
