Abstract

This study aimed to shed light on the job rotation term and the familiarityof library staff at the Minia university with this term in addition to the proceduresof applying job rotation policy. The study will also propose a training program thattargets Minia university libraries' staff in the light of their understanding of jobrotation.The study will measure to what extent applying such program will benefitthe workers in the libraries and if it will improve their knowledge. The studyemployed two methodologies to conduct the current study; an analytical,descriptive approach and experimental approach were implemented to achievethe desired results. Additionally, a survey was used to determine the staffknowledge of the job rotation policy.The credibility of the survey was tested and the survey was distributed on86 library staff. The results of the study showed a lack of knowledge regardingthe job rotation policy. Therefore, an experimental study was conducted on 29library staff to train them on the job rotation policy.The study concluded that there is a need to familiarize the library staffwith the job rotation policy because of its importance in library management andthe perceived outcomes that would affect the staff qualifications.
