Abstract

Hydrostatic compression data have been obtained for CdTe, Cd 0.955Zn 0.0.045Te and Cd 0.9Mn 0.1Te using energy dispersive X-ray diffraction techniques with hetrochromatic, synchrotron produced radiation. Analyses of these data indicate that the addition of zinc to CdTe stiffens the lattice whereas the addition of manganese softens it.
