Abstract

Subject to the conditions of these experiments, namely, that the work was done on a group of non-allergic patients, using ragweed extract in the particular volumes and concentrations mentioned, certain deductions are permissible. In the majority of subjects the first demonstrable amount and the maximal amount of antigen in the circulation occur earlier and the height of the titer in the circulation is greater with the small volume. This would indicate that constitutional reactions are apt to occur more frequently and earlier when small concentrated volumes are injected.
