Abstract

This paper estimates the actions of variable thermal conductivity on the generalized photothermo-elastic model in semiconductor materials. The effect of variable thermal conductivity is studied by using the coupled photo-thermal model. The problem is solved numerically by the implicit finite difference approach under thermal loading on the surface of the material. The numerical solution is obtained by using the finite difference technique, and the studied fields are obtained numerically and presented graphically. The comparison between the previous analytical study and our numerical solution is obtained by others by disregarding the new parameters, and the solution behaviors are studied to prove the accuracy of the proposed methods. The implicit finite difference method (IFDM) is usable, natural and effective for such problems.
