Abstract

Impaired trophoblast cell invasion is believed to be an inciting factor in preeclampsia. Factors driving trophoblast invasion are incompletely understood. Maternal serum tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) levels are elevated in preeclampsia. We hypothesized that elevated TNFα influences human trophoblast cells.
