Abstract

The paper summarises the results of experiments carried out to investigate the e ect of a narrow-band noise in the range 4 8 Hz and of the acoustic pressure SPL = 110 dB(HP) on the alpha waves in the EEG signal. The test group included 23 males aged 21 33. It is found out that white noise in the infrasound range 4 8Hz leads to changes of amplitudes of the spectral power density of alpha waves. The tests reveal a statistically signi cant reduction of the alpha wave amplitude during the infrasound exposure and an amplitude increase when the exposure is over.
