The effect of the dipole interaction on localized spin waves of a ferromagnet with a single magnetic impurity

Abstract

Localized spin waves associated with a single impurity spin or a bond in a two-dimensional square ferromagnet with dipole interactions are studied. It is shown that the anisotropy of the dipolar field removes the degeneracy or causes a mixing of the corresponding impurity levels of the case without dipole interactions.
