Abstract

Abstract Two kinds of deuterium substituents of the galvinoxyl radical have been synthesized, and the effect of the deuterium substitution on the anomalous phase transition of the crystalline galvinoxyl radical at 82 K has been studied. The results, investigated by means of ESR and magnetic susceptibility measurements, indicate that the effect was not strong enough to induce any observable change in the transition.
