Abstract

• A scar-specific FDM model was used to test the in vitro efficacy of ALK5 exon skipping. • ALK5 exon 2 skipping reduced parallel orientation of collagen in the HTS-FDM model. • ALK5 inhibition reduced the stiffness of the hypertrophic scar specific matrix models.
