Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of flipped classroom on the level of medical students' information literacy. Methods The senior class of medical examination and the junior class of medical imaging which set up the course of Medical Literature Retrieval in the same term of Fenyang College of Shanxi Medical University were selected as the flipped teaching class (50 cases) and traditional teaching class (44 cases). The students in two classes were respectively taught by the methods of flipped classroom teaching and traditional teaching, and the same time, the questionnaire of information literacy in two groups were compared. Results The level of information literacy in flipped classroom was higher than that of traditional teaching group (P<0.05); the level of information consciousness, information ability and information morality in flipped classroom were better than that of traditional teaching group (P<0.05). Conclusion The teaching mode of flipped classroom can improve the students' information literacy level.
