Abstract

The invertase activity of the soluble fraction of excised roots of tomato were separated into two peaks by filtration on Sephadex G-100. Incubation of sucrose-grown roots in glucose resulted in a reduction in invertase activity, and Sephadex G-100 filtration showed that this was due to a reduction in only one of the two isozymes.
