Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to examine the effect of psycho-education programme based on structured play therapy on the depression and adjustment levels of divorced family children. A structured play therapy psycho-education programme was applied to the experimental group in the research that was carried out with the participation of 16 child between the ages of 9–12 whose parents were divorced. In the study, a semi-experimental design was used in 2X3 (experimental–control group X pre-test/post-test/follow-up test). As a result of the research, it was found that the psycho-education programme developed based on structured play therapy was effective in increasing divorce adjustment levels of 9–12-year olds children whose parents divorced and reduced their depression levels.
