Abstract

To assess the effect of stone concentration, on potato yield, a replicated experiment with 0, 6, 12 and 24% stone contents was conducted on Undine loam for 3 years. The data indicated that the actual relationship between level of stoniness and yield was curvilinear with a general upward trend in yield over the treatment levels of the experiment. Soil temperature and moisture content increased with increasing stone concentration.
