Subcutaneous implantation of 11 or 24 mg. of stilbestrol or 10 mg. of testosterone significantly increased the gains of wether lambs during a 68-day feeding period. All hormone treated groups required significantly less feed per pound of gain than the control lambs. Carcass quality and market value appeared to be improved by the administration of testosterone.
