Abstract
Background and Aims: Statins constitute the mainstay of treatment in patients with hypercholesterolaemia. However, their effect on semen parameters is unknown. The aim of this study was to systematically review and meta-analyze the best available evidence regarding the effect of statins on sperm concentration, motility, morphology, vitality and ejaculate volume, in men with hypercholesterolaemia.
