Abstract

A field experiment was carried out in a salty loam at Mysiab which is located 3 km from Mysiab Technical college during the spring season of 2016/2017. The aim of the experiment was to study the influence of spraying the bio stimulant humic acid with the following levels (0, 2ml, 4ml and 6ml.litre−1), on growth and yield of four sunflower hybrids (Zuhraa, Qudas, Euflor and Cobon). Results showed that, excluding plant dry weight, Capitulum diameter and kernel weight where there were no significant differences between the spring levels 4ml and 6ml.litre−1. Take spring level 6ml.litre−1 significantly overcome the other levels on the remainder trails being studied. Excluding plant height, where there was no significant effect between the hybrids Zuhraa and Qudas; Zuhraa was superior with remainder characters among other hybrids. The interaction effect was significant with the over whole studied characters. The seed yield was 6.32 tone.hectare−1 for Zuhraa and Euflor. Thus we can introduce those two hybrids in breeding projects to achieve rales which could tolerate the region environmental stresses.
