Introduction

One of the skills in learning English language which should be focused on is the reading comprehension. As it is shown, it is given an appropriate weight in the textbooks in Jordanian schools. As specialists in English language teaching, previous teachers of English and psychology, supervisors and headmasters see that to such extent the aim of reading comprehension was not achieved.
