Abstract

A series of experimental results are reported for the transmission loss of three panel types for varying panel area, orientation, receiving and source room. It is found that panel area can play a significant rôle in the measured result and that coincidence frequency is also influenced by panel size and orientation. The effect of room volumes is shown to influence measured results but the trend differs from that reported in earlier work, with transmission from smaller to larger rooms yielding a lower transmission loss.
