Abstract

Objective To investigate the social support condition of post-stroke patients and to explore the influence of social support to the patients with post-stroke depression.Methods The data from 205 post-stroke patients who were evaluated by SDS,SSRS were analyzed statistically.Results The incidence rate ofpost-stroke depression was 61.4%.The incidence rate of post-stroke depression in younger people(younger than 60 years include 60)was higher than those of the older people(older than 60 years).The incidence rate of people who had no disease(hypertention,diabets meIlitus,heart disease)was higher than those the people who had disease There was no statistical difference in every part of social support between depression group and non-depression group.There wa8 no significant correlation every part of social support and post-stroke depression.Conclusions There was no significant correlation between every part of social support and post-stroke depression.
