Abstract

The rise in the pH of the urine that accompanies reduction in the excretion of Na+, K+, Cl and NH4+ during water diuresis, in consequence of subcutaneous adrenaline and isoprenaline, is absent during saline diureses. The significance of this observation is discussed.
