Summary

Introduction

Definition of the problemPregnancy is the most enjoyable and most sensitive period of a women’s life. Minimizing modifiable factors for insomnia and increasing sleep quality play an essential role to avoid adverse pregnancy outcomes such as maternal-fetal morbidity, mortality, anxiety, depression, and cognitive impairments [22,23,24,25,26]. Despite all these potential adverse effects, few studies have focused on insomnia as a contributing factor to the deterioration of quality of life. Most women are at risk for some degree of sleep disturbance (insomnia) during pregnancy because of the hormonal and physical changes, which may negatively affect women’s quality of life
